Fall

I was driving home from a church activity on satuday and realized that the trees along the freeway were starting to turn colors. This is always one of my favorite things to look for and my favorite fall leaves are the deep red ones. I don't know why but they have always stood out the most to me.

We have been eating a ton of the fall foods that I have already posted about and it has not gotten old yet. There is nothing better than that first bowl of chicken and dumplings for the first time in months. It makes you want to curl up in a blanket and slow down. We have also had quite a bit of hot chocolate since Beau has learned how to boil water and is addicted to adding flavors to the hot chocolate. Really I think I might need to intervene at some point.

The kids are finally able to play for extended times outside since it is no longer 100 plus degrees outside. This goes for the grown ups too. We have started letting Beau watch the kids for about 45 minutes while Mike and I go on a walk 2 or 3 times a week. We are enjoying the time to be able to chat and flirt without mini eyes watching and laughing.

Crafts are itching to come out of me right now. When the weather cools down I feel the need to start crafting again and this year is no different. The difference, however, is that I don't have time. I am now finding myself searching for quick crafts that are easy and fun to do and aren't lame.

Yeah, I know this a random post but I really love fall and I just realized today that we are halfway through september and I better get to cracking on my fall decorating or I will miss it completely and be putting up christmas instead!

Fall is my favorite time of year. With it finally cooling down, our kids have gotten their bikes back out.

Lovely taking walks together. Hope you find lots of time to enjoy it and maybe some crafty things too.

My favorite leaves are the bright orange leaves. They pretty much glowed in Fayetteville!
