My kids are scattered

Since it is spring break and schools are out for the first part of this week my children are scattered. My oldest son is in Fayetteville with Neal, Amber, Justen and cousins, Princess is at my moms house, across town, and Link is with his dad and mom, his school is still open. Each time I talk with one of the two older kids I expect to hear words of love and even a little misery at being away from me. Do I get this? NO! Instead I get to hear about how they are having the most fun ever and that they LOVE being at these various places. Princess has even taken to bragging to her little brother about how he still has to go to school while she hangs out all day at her Amma's house playing. Is it too much to ask that a mother's children to at least pretend to be unhappy when they speak to her? To be honest, I am so happy that I have family that loves my children and takes them when we are unable to watch them. If I thought for a moment that my kids were not happy they would not be in those homes. We are blessed with such great families. Now, I will just have to step up my game for the days of spring break I am off!
