My little Manastics Girl

Well, that's what princess calls gymnastics. She started gymnastics after turning 5 last month and she loves it. She is such a shy little girl that we worried that she would not participate or have fun. She does kind of stand off a bit at the beginning of the hour but she does pretty well by the end of class. One surprise we had is that her teacher is my best friend from Jr High. I am sad to say that Jr High was 15 years ago but it was nice to see her again and helped put me at ease. Princess likes the bars the most and the beam the least. She is very excited on Thursdays and when she wakes up starts asking me about her manastics class and if she gets to go to manastics. She is such a crazy little girl. Below is a pic of her on the balance beam.

Snow, love and other great things

I was blessed with a 5 day weekend! That's right, Heavenly Father saw that the south was full of overworked people and he opened the clouds and let the ground get covered in a thick layer of snow. In the south that means a few inches and that it puts everything on hold until it melts. We had a lot of fun and most of all I was able to spend time with my kids. Notice I did not say husband and that is because he was stuck at work for 3 days. Yup, my radio man had to live up to the old saying that the show must go on and had to sleep in the studio last week. I could tell from the texts and calls that he kept sending that he was home sick and would have rather been at home with his little family. The kids fought each night about who was going to get to sleep with mom and we all had fun playing games, watching movies and just being stuck at home.

Today is valentines day and I want to take a moment to let the world know just how blessed and lucky I am to be married to Michael Taggard. He is the best thing that could have happened to me and even after being in love for 12 years he still makes me blush and giggle when he winks at me. I know that we are an eternal family and that our marriage will last forever and that makes what we have even more special. He is a great father, husband and best friend. Happy valentines day, Lover.

In other none mushy things, we had a great weekend in Springdale visiting Justen, Amber and Baby Ryan. He is getting so big. We went shopping and ate out a lot. We even got to visit with Eddie and Aria!!!! It has been so long since we have been able to sit down and chat since we seem to keep missing each other either in Arkadelphia or in Fayetteville. Their son is so cute and is getting so grown up. It amazed me to hear him talking and even using sign language. He is going to be a great kid. I just hope mine don't scare him off!

I hope all of you have a great valentines week!

Sneek Peek Spring Weekend!

We had such a beautiful spring like weekend this past week and the Taggard Clan had to get out and enjoy the sun. We decided that after doing a bit of cleaning and shopping on saturday that we would head over to the zoo. The kids were really excited about seeing all the animals and Link wanted to bite a tiger so we headed out.

The first exhibit was the Lorakeets. The birds are very social and don't mind three crazy Taggard kids trying to catch them and keep forever.

Poor Beau had the job of preventing his little brother from hopping into every exhibit we visited. Although, I do believe that he could have been happy in the ape habitat.

Mike and Beau rode behind me and the little ones on the train. It was a lot of fun for all of us and so cool to see Link and Princess so excited about riding a Choo Choo Train.

We had to look at everything! Even the birds that are not even part of a habitat. The favs were the elephants, apes, giraffe, naked mole rat, lion and penguins.

I was not kidding about Link! Here he is trying to get to the bear! What am I going to do with that kid!

Here is the last pic for today. Every mom has to submit her children to pics like this. And yes I will pull them out in 20 years and show their future spouses.
The weekend was a great weekend but it wasn't all fun and games, we lost several zoo pics when mike's brand new Iphone 3gs was stolen at lowes while we were buying a new dishwasher and Link became pretty sick and stayed that way until sunday night. Lucky for us mike still had his older Iphone 3g and Link did get better. He is still, however, still a bit upset that I did not let him bite that tiger.
